Prenatal Testing
We explain separately the purposes of checking the baby's growth and the mother's health at each stage.
Let's first look at what this exam checks, rather than the schedule.
In prenatal care, ultrasound, blood, and urine tests are reviewed according to gestational age and the mother's condition. Screening tests assess the possibility of certain conditions; they do not detect every condition or guarantee a baby's health after birth.

The focus of care changes depending on the stage of pregnancy.
Early stage · Pregnancy status and basic health
We review pregnancy location and gestational age, prior pregnancies, medical conditions, and medications, then discuss basic tests and screening options.
Second trimester · Structure and maternal changes
Ultrasound is used to look at the baby's structure and growth, and needed tests such as gestational diabetes screening are reviewed. Each test has an appropriate time, and you will be given an individual schedule.
Later pregnancy · Growth and birth preparation
We continue to check the condition of the mother and the fetus, and discuss fetal movements, birth plans, and coordination with a delivery facility.
Ultrasound and chromosomal testing serve different purposes.
Chromosome screening and diagnostic tests
We distinguish tests that assess likelihood from diagnostic tests when choosing. Please have the scope of testing, the risks, and the options after the results explained.

Are all gestational-age tests done on the same day?
Purpose and timing differ, so a personal schedule is needed. We plan based on tests already done and the items you choose.
Does LILEAP provide care through delivery?
Please confirm during consultation which tests and care can be done at the clinic and how we coordinate with a delivery facility. Information about tests does not mean every prenatal test or delivery is provided in-house.
