Specimens are chosen to match the infection being looked for and the sites of contact. One specimen or one test does not check for every infection.

Some infections take time to become detectable after exposure. Even a negative result may require retesting depending on when the test was done.

You will receive an explanation of which items were tested and what they mean. Results alone cannot determine the exact time of infection or which partner it came from.

We decide whether testing is needed to confirm treatment or check for reinfection, and discuss prevention such as vaccination and condoms.
